Guide for teachers
Everything for your classes is on one page: who's in it, attendance, the textbook and the link.
Find your classes
After you accept your invitation, the temple page shows the classes you teach. Open a class to see its students and upcoming dates.
Take attendance
Here means in the room. Online means on the video call. The counts at the top show who is still not marked.
- 1Open your class, then choose Attendance next to today's date.
- 2Tap one button for each student. It saves straight away.
- 3Check the counts at the top: anyone not marked is shown in marigold.
Import Zoom attendance
1. After class, download the participant report from Zoom
2. Upload it on the class date's attendance page
3. Check the names OurTemple matched
4. Confirm: they're marked Online
- 1In Zoom, go to Reports, then Usage, find the meeting, click its number of participants and choose Export.
- 2On the class date's attendance page, open Import from Zoom and choose the file.
- 3OurTemple suggests a Zoom name for each student. Fix any that are wrong, or choose Not on Zoom.
- 4Choose Mark as online. Students you already marked here, late or excused keep their mark.
Children often join on a parent's device, so names don't always match. Anyone not matched is listed so you can mark them yourself.
Set the official textbook
On your class page, add the book's title, edition and a link to the PDF or upload the PDF. Parents see exactly this edition, which ends the "which version do we buy?" question.
Email your class's parents
On your class page, use Message parents. Post your message on the class page, email it to every parent of a child in the class, or both. Replies come back to your own email.
Still stuck? Ask your temple's admin. They can check your classes and resend an invitation.
