Get your temple ready

These five steps cover everything. The Admin overview shows a checklist of what's done.

  1. 1

    Add subjects

The things you teach, such as a language or religion class.

  2. 2

    Add a term

First and last class dates, and days with no class.

  3. 3

    Add classes

Day, time and a recurring video link. Class dates are made for you.

  4. 4

    Invite teachers

They get a link by email or WhatsApp.

  5. 5

    Share the parent link

Post it in your parents' group. Families join and add their children.

Do these once, in this order. The admin overview page keeps track of which steps are done.

Set up subjects, terms and classes

  1. 1Go to Admin, then Classes.
  2. 2Add each subject you teach. A subject can have several classes, such as one per grade.
  3. 3Add a term with its first and last class dates. List the days with no class, such as holidays and temple events.
  4. 4Add each class: its name, day, start and end time, and video link. All the class dates for the term are created for you.
  5. 5Open the class to set its official textbook and add more teachers.

In Zoom or Google Meet, make one recurring meeting per class (no fixed time) so the link never changes. Paste it once here and parents always find it.

Invite teachers and bring in families

  1. 1Go to Admin, then People.
  2. 2Teachers and other admins: enter their email, choose the role, and create the invitation. Send the link by email or WhatsApp.
  3. 3Parents: create the parent join link and share it in your parents' WhatsApp group or newsletter.
  4. 4You can replace the parent link at any time; the old one stops working.

Each week

  1. 1Post an announcement for holidays, events or changes. Parents see it at the top of the temple page.
  2. 2Teachers take attendance. You can see every class's attendance under Reports.
  3. 3To cancel one class date, open its attendance page and choose Cancel this class.

Reports and records

Reports shows how often each class meets and how many students come, in person or online, for the term. It also lists students who missed two classes or more in a row, so someone can check in with the family. Download a spreadsheet for your records or committee meetings. Only admins can download student data.

Still stuck? Ask your temple's admin. They can check your classes and resend an invitation.
